Born in Juncal do Campo (Castelo Branco) in 1971. Lives and works in Lisbon. Graduated in Computer Engineering (FCT-UNL), he had his first contact with photography in 1990. In 1992 and 1993, he exhibited individually in three spaces in Castelo Branco. For personal and professional reasons, he moved to Porto and suspended his photographic activity. He returned to Lisbon in 2003 and, from 2008, he began photographing again and attending various courses at Atelier de Lisboa. At the end of 2008, he received an honourable mention in Novos Talentos FNAC Fotografia 2008 for his work A&J, exhibited in several FNAC Galleries. In 2009, he exhibited five works in Porto and Alvito (Alentejo): Ursa Maior, A Guerra dos Lobos, Evidência, Nunca and Start Still. In 2010 and 2011, he completed a postgraduate course in Fotografia, Projeto e Arte Contemporânea at IPA (by Atelier de Lisboa) which ended in a collective exhibition at Plataforma Revólver in Lisbon, with the Billy series. Although his main work is in the area of ​​Information Technologies, he was a teacher at Atelier de Lisboa and other institutions.
